Hey. I totally forgot bout this. Please bring BICYCLE LOCKS if you have cuz we will be needing them. Cuz like since our chalet is on the second floor, we will have to put the bicycles downstairs. Oh ya, i was thinking that we rent the bikes overnight so that if we want to like macdonalds at night, we can just cycle there. Much faster.

Okay. These are the final details for the chalet. We will be meeting at about 12.30pm at Tampines Mall Macdonalds. We will go for lunch then go shop for the bbq stuff. Yep. Hey guys. Ok i've finally got the unit number for the chalet. This is the address:

On the board thingy that shows you where the units are, its written as 2-6

Oh and the holiday flats are actually very near the pasir ris park that playground. Its right beside it. The flats are painted beige and purple. Shouldnt be hard to miss.
So, for those who are NOT planning to meet up early to go shopping and just want to go there on you own at the check in time, please take note! By the way, the check in time is 4.00pm. We'll have to go shopping for the bbq food and stuff before we check in. I'm not sure where we're gonna shop though...Tampines Mall or sth? Cuz my mum offered to make a few trips to send us to the chalet cuz like its rather inconvenient to walk there by ourselves, with the bbq food and all. I mean like UNLESS you people want to take like a half hour walk from the costa sands chalet there to the holiday flats la. Your choice. Please remember to bring sufficient money along besides the chalet+bbq money of 12 dollars. Yep. More details will be posted at a later date.

2I's canon in d, the performance we put up for teachers' day.
remember how we stayed back after national day celebration to compose everything, zixuan, yihui, grace? :D
haha we used like dont-know-how-many-pages of manuscript!
(which we realised the guzheng dont need to read ahem, 'towgay' hahaha!)
and jovina and jiahui and jiamin whom we met up with at eastpoint afterward!

we took time out to rehearse, and choreograph dance steps,
there were tears, there was laughter, there was tension, there was anger.
there was the treat of twenty cups of milo that came delivered in a box! :D
there was the freezing lecture theatre,
the jokes, the sarcasm, the auditions,
there was the dark scary-looking behind-the-lt-place,
there was the big lollipop keechin bought for jiamin that everybody had taken a bite out of,
there was keechin playing the violin, wanli too,
there was me forgetting to bring the scores and us improvising on stage (haha sorry!)
there was us, doing us the teachers' day video afterward (and we really touched the teachers huh)
there was commitment, there was sweat, there was makeup.
we looked great on stage though the mikes pretty much screwed up the goodness of it.

the pro instrumental people! XD

more than half of the class was involved,
we quarrelled, we got back together, we pulled it off.
then we cheered so freaking loudly after the performance that everybody looked up to the gallery.

YIJING!!!! NOT FAIR!!!! I WANNA GO TO 3G!!! GAHHH... zao zhi dao i dun so pia for the exams, then can be same class. HAHA. Haiz. I hope a miracle happens. Hahaha

Ok well anyway, would like to inform those reading this post that the chalet price has increased. yep sry about it. My mum called up to confirm again and now its 148 dollars for 4 days. Yep. My mum will help us check in cuz we can like check in in the morning, dump our stuff first there and go do whatever we want. Yup yup. So now one person needs to pay about 12 dollars for the chalet plus bbq food. ---NOT INCLUSIVE of the other dinners and lunches on the other day. We need people to volunteer to cook cha bee hoon or fried rice on the other days. Novia says she can marinate the chicken wings and get the fried bee hoon. So FRIED RICE ANYONE? Please tell me if you can. The other meals will either be maggi mee or we go out eat la. Yup.

its been a wonderful time.

these are the very wonderful memories, truly.

there's been tough times, and of course, wonderful times. we're all splitting, and i cant really bear to. because the love that we have is irreplaceable, whether we show it or not. but bear in mind that i'll still quietly relieve the memories that we had, because ive learnt so much from each and one of you.

we're moving on.

maybe its the start of another chapter of your life, maybe its the start of another book; i dont know; but the only thing i'll know is that i'll miss all of you. i really will.

the spirit of iowa will always carry on. just like how love never dies.

i still remember the time we started out. remember the 'pursue your dreams, the funky iowa spirit'? haha its nice to think about it, and surely, something or someone will bring this smile to your face, really. the time we got pissed off during level camp 06' screaming our heads off and crying and all that quarrelling. of course, we became more bonded, as a class.

perhaps we're often seen as a noctorious class, infamous, maybe? but once you see the true us, you'll realise that we're just a bunch of kids who love to have fun.

maybe we're all heading into different directions now, but we all came from the same direction.

call me sentimental, anything you want. i just cant seem to let go of the time we had. it all seems so short now, especially when i wanted the year to end faster, now i want time to rewind. if only life was a movie, then perhaps i could play my favourite bits time and time again. that'll be so wonderfully fantastic i wouldnt trade anything else in the world for it. because i love you guys so.

i love iowa so much the love's overwhelming.

remember the time we stood idling around at parkway argueing what colour mr bean's car was? and the dinner of burping and laughter. our teacher's day preparations that got us sometimes frustrated but we enjoyed the process nevertheless. the times we tried tricking teachers into doing stuff to our advantages. priceless i should say.

the times we laughed til our stomachs were awfully painful; the times we cried til we looked like the worst thing in life had happened to us.

we did the silliest things of all times; and no matter how crazy or silly we were, everyone's there to encourage each other, to cheer one another on, to laugh at how silly we could be. maybe innocent is not the words to describe us, but this class is as wonderful as it is; i doubt anything else can replace it.

perhaps other stuff might mean more to you, but it doesnt matter, because nothing else can replace iowa 06' 07' and that's the truth, a fact that we cant change.

i'll miss everyone who has made a impact in my life, every single one of you in iowa.

i'll end the post here because its been rather wordy i wont continue to bore you. and guess what..?

Venue: Pasir Ris Holiday Flat (government) (It's right beside pasir ris park)
Price: $7/person ($46 for chalet, $90+ for food) (cost of food may be lesser)
Date: 4, 5, 6, 7 December (4D3N)

As usual, food will only be provided on BBQ night, unless anyone volunteers to get their parents to cook some beehoon or fried rice for us. Feel free to bring any food or drinks for the BBQ night (dessert would be nice). Activities are not planned yet, so wait for further updates.

Because we are too BLOODY late to book the chalet, there's like NO MORE ARANDA! *sobs* Too bad for all of us. And if we book downtown east double room all of you will need to pay at least $30. So some people *cough* *cough* would definately disagree, so we decided on ONE room where we'll SQUEEZE like sardines in a can.

Downtown East: one room/3D2N/$244
BBQ food: about $100 (shld be able to spend less)
Bring extra money for other activities like cycling/skating, bowling etc.
1st day - lunch money (BBQ would be on first night)
2nd day - breakfast, lunch and dinner money
3rd day - breakfast money
(It's best to buy cup noodles, HAHA! But you probably don't want cup noodles for all meals)

Class Chalet 07

Hey peepz! I'm the first to update this blog since like i dunno when. Lol. Well anyway, eoys are over so its time to get our class chalet plans up and running. Ok let me explain the situation at hand now.

The date we actually wanted was 3,4,5 of december (mon,tues,wed). BUT Ms Ngau isn't free on the 3rd, so she wanted to book a 2 day one night chalet on the 4th and 5th. However, since its like the last year 2I is together, we managed to get her to agree to a 3 day 2 night chalet as planned...HOWEVER, now its on the 4,5,6 of December.
Ok now for the venue of the chalet. Basically we have 3 choices. 1. The Downtown East chalet 2. Pasir Ris Costa Sands Chalet 3. Aranda. Now I'll explain the merits and demerits of each one.

The Downtown East one, while it may have an xbox and whatsoever, is rather small. According to Ms Ngau, there is only one room-either you get the upper floor one or the lower floor one. Still, it is rather small unless we book two rooms BUT that will incur more cost. I'm not sure how much each one of you will have to pay because we currently have no idea how many people are going. The more people there are, the lesser you have to pay.

For the Pasir Ris Costa Sands one, which is the one we booked last year, well, its not that bad i guess. For one, we will be able to book the two storeys, with the beds being upstairs so we can dump our bags there. Then there are also mattresses downstairs for ppl to sleep if the beds are already occupied. Also, the bbq pit is directly outside. The bad side is that costa sands is rather dirty. Thats about it.

As for Aranda, well i'm not too sure about it cuz i've like never been there before? Haha. Well according to eunice tan,yihui and yijing, its really nice and big. There's even a swimming pool or sth. They say its right beside the downtown east one. However, with quality comes expense. So obviously you'll have to pay more. According to eunicet, it costs about 200plus a night. So 3d2n would mean about 400 plus in total. Sounds like a big sum eh? Its not as long as we can get like at least 20 ppl to go. So everybody about 20bucks plus? (Please dun be those kiam siak(cheapskate stingy) ppl and complain about the price ok? Its our LAST year for goodness sake, its just ONCE alrite? Haha.

Well, basically, i don't think everybody should have to pay anything more than 30 provided we have lots and lots of ppl going-at least 20. Because we still have to include the money for the bbq food. Last year, (well i'm not sure how many ppl went last year), but everybody paid about 10bucks per person because it was 2d1n. This year its 3d2n so obviously we'll have to pay more. So people must come alrite?! Haha. I hope the above info doesnt sound confusing to you. Any queries you can ask me or yijing. So, people go ask/beg your parents to let you come, and try to give us an answer by tmr if its possible. Haha. Thanks! (:

Oh and about next friday, since its a holiday, we wanted to have a class outing. (We very long never have class outing ler!!!) We were thinking about cycling in the afternoon maybe at East Coast. Anyone has suggestions for activities in the morning? Bowling or eating or whatever?

Mid-Autumn Festival yesterday. we sat in rows at the back to protect ourselves from the chain reactions of pokes sent out by zixuan. it always pass down from the back and stop at jovina/novia. then we will have to smack each other passing it back. a bit stupid. and scary and fun but not very. zi xuan better dont do it again. pity me, carrie, novia and alex - 2 way chain reaction.

hiya people. how's your september holiday coming? min was OK but... im getting a litle stress over the homework. maybe because i slack a lot during the first few days. (P.S someone tell me that they face the same thing - it make me feel better :D)

I. SCREWED. UP. Yes, i screwed up, and badly. For what? the 3 consecutive tests today of course! & all not my favourite subjects. SCIENCE!!! CHINESE!!! MATHS!!! Like wth?!?!?!?! & mind you, it was CONSECUTIVE!!! Argh. My brain juice was like almost used up at the end of science. Got totally confused with the atoms stuff and the chemical equations. Well, what can i say? Science is SO NOT MY FORTE, so i'm definitely not considering a career in science. Well, then there was recess. Much good it did, cuz after recess came the stupid hcl chang wen suo duan test. FYI, chang wen suo duan means summarizing(like xiao) a paragraph to a given no. of words. So like lets say the no. of words in the paragraph is say maybe 60 plus? They want us to summarize til like about 30 plus?!?! Yeah, its that bad. Then, i got like totally no mood to do so i left like most of the questions blank. So thats screwed too. And then..came MATHS. The killer-subject. I am sure i'm gonna fail maths..and fail BADLY too. There were 7 questions, most with a subparts like a,b,c,d. And then we were only given a bloody 50MINUTES to complete it!!! NO TIME!!!! I left like pratically the whole paper blank luh. I didnt even finish the graph question. So i'm like a goner. I'm just hoping for a DOUBLE DIGIT you noe like 10 and above? HAHA..oh its upon 40. I'm cursing the people who set the math paper man. they ALWAYS make our math common tests so damn difficult!!! We're only sec 2, 14YEARS OLD!!! WHY are we learning sec 3, sec 4 stuff?!?! Its beyond our limits of understanding. Ugh.

HEYheyhey people, siyin's here to revive the blog. YAY. okay LAME =.=' but oh well, no one posts so i'll glady come here and post since its the holidays now. despite the piling mountain of homework. hurh, mountain would sound just fine. budden i think if there's like no cca during hols shld be quite okay. like me *grins =D* yeah eunice? hahahah, well its a well deserved break for us yay.

but nevertheless, must jiayou and complete all of them then can erm, slack more hahaha. when school reopens, i think we can hardly dream of slacking. gah, it was ms chua's last lesson with us. hahah still rmb beginning of the year we were still missing mr tan. maybe now we'll miss ms chua =p guess almost everyone has received the class pic. the one we took with ms chua hahah. it looks nice with all the lollies HAH.

IOWA really got more more more hyper and bonded. even tho we were quite like zi-high. but STILL! we were able to come up with silly dance steps and dance together!

you know it is super touching to see iowa being so.. erm, how shld i put it.. participative? once the music was turned on, all iowans from every part of the place could just simply come together without ppl dragging them in. its amazing how me and karis just stood there dancing.. then zixuan and jessica came? and me and karis and zixuan screamed when we found each other. then we found jiamin. screamed again. eunice tan and feli. screamed somemore. jovina and eunicelee; scream like hell. weiqi wenyi daniel marcus; even more more screams.. ANYWAY. more and more iowans started joining and we were having lotsa fun. zixuan came up with the sambal (?) dance thingy.. the old iowa would never do this dance together. the friendship dance maybe. but the sambal dance? hurh, i guess not huh? but we did! we were screaming soooo loudly. and then they called us to be in our form classes. and in actual fact, at that point of time, we already were. then when they called 2I we screamed like nobody's business. YAYYYYY. hah, it was lovely. then we started to talk and like practically after every sentence we started cheering and clapping. the true, one and only, iowa spirit (:

YESH, im back. since its a lonely sunday for me. level camp's coming up SOON.! pretty soon, VERY soon. hahaha, oh well, we're all being split into different groups. and those who are alone, LIKE ME, be comforted, at least u get to know more ppl from your groups! hahah await the 4 days and 3 nights of fun, the mountains of laughter and singing and dancing and cheering and just maybe, gossip HAH. well u never know.

still rmb last year's camp? it;s one of the best memories that i have... we were super bonded as a class. pitting ourselves against time, and jarvix, and we might have lost to them sometimes, and we might have won, but we truely displayed sportsmanship and teamwork (: rmb the time when we expected ourselves to get last and wash the toilets? then we even created this special washing toilet song. that was pure love;; pure love for the class and each other! and i especially loved the class when we started doing the friendship dance tgt. and even after the last night, and even tho it was VERY extremely late, we still wanted to do the dance~ hahah even tho it was not allowed la. still, we rock hahaha.

we bonded as a class, worked hard together, cheered each other on, had disputes with each other but we still came together in the end and well, obstacles are wad make us stronger.

hello ppl. im here to post again. rather busy now... and im sure its the same for all of you. i hope the dance syf was good. so i shall um... try to revive the blog

eunice l and jovi at esplanade (we were watching the phantom) can see zx and karis at the background. a rather long ago phto larh. i forgotten where samantha had gone to :)

this is during the time when we were locked out of our classroom. i think it was on a test day. cant remember tt much

since i have nothing to post today,
i shall just crap...
so have you all been missing junkai?
we have been in iowa for almost 2 years and there is definitely a very special bond between us.
though we do not show how bonded we are in the outside, we are in the inside.
iowa is like a family liao le,
and a family cannot be short of even one member,

in this case,
if we are short of one member,
there will be someone who will be left out in pair work,
if we are short of one member,
we have one less person to share our problems with,
if we are short of one member,
the teachers would only have to mark 35 scripts and then they will flood us with more homework. (:D)

hey guys. Heys, im back..i know I promised jiamin to do a post on feli..bt after I read her post, I dun hav the urge to do another one. its already perfect x)

Jiamin..your post was great. Seriously. Even tho you STATED the violation part. LOL, bt still, its rather touching aint it? Feli need tissue paper? Hahahah. Its true..somehow people often take for granted what they have in their lives. but apparently;; we DO NOT take our beloved class chairperson for granted! We would, never. Never ever. Im dead serious.

I mean, knowing feli for such a long time, and sitting beside her for a term..i can almost bet, you never realize how much hard work she puts in for the class. The many drops of perspiration, a lot a lot a lot of hardwork, and of course, she has to do her job well and ignore comments. umm... i shant call ppl slacker... but im still angry and upset about what has happened. as siyin and feli had said, there had been lots of probs lately, and its quite serious and complicating too... as people grow up, they tend to lose the naiveness and innocence they got. thinking about it and why it happened is no use. it had happened so kill the root of the prob... which i know is diff. but jiayou, you can overcome this :). dont do anything against your conscience. you will never live with it

and i know some ppl still owe fines and have not paid yet. i shant put their big names here like i dod last time but be more auto and pay up. you know who you are and dont even thinking of escaping out of this. you have to pay for the consequences if you break the rule.

last of all, thanks to all the people who had trusted in me and believed in me. and also to those who had attempted to make my life happier though sometimes it was unintentional and it didnt work, but still, thanks for the effort made :)

Leadership Camp 2007

heyys people, the class commitee people just came back from a 2 day 1 night leadership camp in DHS. yepp only 5 of us went from each class, which was, me, felicia, neh, grace and wenyi.
Hmm. after this leadership camp, i believe, that we have grown to be great leaders that will lead the class in our future endeavours.

we were supposed to get ready for morning PT.
everyone was late.
the trainer asked
trainer: when are you supposed to be at the parade square?
..

everybody: (softly) 6.15
trainer:when are you supposed to be at the parade square?
chak: 7.45!!!!

and he got angry and pumped chak.
and.
we're supposed to do it with him too.
haiix.

and so, after the punishment, we have to do lots of sit ups, star jumps, pushups and stretchings. it was worse than a typical SJAB RT.

and after that we've to run 2.4 km. AHHHHHHHHH

runrunrunrunrun.

and so we ran.
or rather, walked. cos we're not supposed to leave gaps in between yupp.
me and grace did lame cheers =D
and i kept encouraging the guy with the hole in the shirt in front of me. he seemed encouraged and ran fast. :)

it was strenuous. and that explains why my muscles were aching..

okies. so after PT was breakfast.. BREAD!!
and i was obsessed with mango juice..

after breakfast was cleaning up and a mini game a debrief.
it was an enriching camp.

because..

1st: we gained sense of responsibility from taking care of our eggies
2nd: we experienced how to be leaders by leadin our group for the cheers
3rd: we learnt bonding and going through everything as a team no matter how difficult it was during Physical Training.
4th: we made alot of friends
5th: (textual knowledge from the notes given to us)

yupp. although its the end, the camp will bring back, to us, many wonderful memories
and i hope that the class commitee will serve our class to the best of our ability after this camp.

Siann... im going away in 2 days and i'll never come back but still have so much homework to do b4 leaving... here's an equation:

MARCH HOLIDAYS= A week of non-stop homework entertainment fun where one returns to school almost EVERYDAY for either CCA, projects or some other lame activity and wishes that one is in school again, listening to teachers yakking away.

hello ppl. im back here again. er... what to say now? i also dunno... hahaz. btw, i went to the co concert yesterday. its erm... nice but im so lonely... boo. so, who went for the night one? i saw a few ppl on stage performing... rebecca, blocked but somebody in front, then esther, and yihui as well. yi hui look like very nervous like that lorh. hahaz.
